Ambassadors are leaders and active participants in Fitwel’s healthy building movement. They are well-versed in the evidence-based connection between design and health, can integrate Fitwel’s strategies within projects, and are able to effectively navigate the Fitwel Portal to track progress and attain Fitwel Certification.

Becoming an Ambassador

Become an Ambassador by registering for Fitwel’s Introductory Ambassador Course today.

The Introductory Ambassador Course introduces the rationale and evidence used to develop Fitwel and its high-impact strategies, while also familiarizing participants to the digital interface used for certification. The course includes a 60-minute pre-recorded training video, access to the Fitwel Reference Guides, and a follow up 50-question multiple choice online exam. A passing score on the exam qualifies you to be listed as an Ambassador. Each registration is for individual use and valid for one Introductory Ambassador Course. No prior expertise in health or building systems is required.

Kristen Fulmer



Kristen was in the first class of Fitwel Ambassadors, joining the Fitwel Community in December 2016. She personally submitted Lendlease’s first Fitwel Certification for its Chicago Office, which moved to a renovated space in Chicago’s urban core during the summer of 2017.

Dr. Lina Engelen


Active Spaces Consulting

Dr. Lina Engelen joined the Fitwel Ambassador Community back in 2017 when Fitwel first launched. In fact, Lina was one of the very first Ambassadors to represent the Australian market, and consulted on the first-ever certified project in Australia— AMP’s Sydney Cove in the city’s CBD.
