Ambassadors Leading the Movement: Rachel Schiftan

Ambassadors make up a global network of knowledgeable and enthusiastic professionals committed to integrating health within their work and incentivizing clients to pursue wellness programs.

Meet Rachel Schiftan — Managing Director for Energy & Sustainability Services at Cushman & Wakefield, Fitwel Champion and previous Best in Building Health Winner. Rachel was recognized at the 2022 Best in Building Health Awards event as the Fitwel Ambassador with the most certified projects of all time — an impressive 60 certified properties all over the world.

Cushman & Wakefield became a Fitwel Champion in 2017 and has committed to making a difference in the communities where their people and clients work and live through healthy living and the promotion of well-being for their clients and firm.

Their decision to certify their new DC office space further demonstrates their commitment to leading the movement by creating spaces that support the health and well-being of their employees. Cushman & Wakefield’s Washington DC Office received a 2-star rating under the Fitwel v2.1 Commercial Interior Built Certification.

As part of Cushman & Wakefield’s new office design, a number of features were included into the scope to ensure all employees were provided access to a healthy, interactive, and inclusive workspace. Features of the new office include dedicated quiet rooms, multiple mothers’ rooms, natural daylighting, and views of natural elements.
