What Fitwel strategies did you use to achieve your healthy building goals?
KG: BXP prides itself on providing exceptionally healthy and safe environments for our clients. The majority of BXP’s Fitwel Certified properties have achieved the Indoor Environment Strategies with the help of our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) testing program, in addition to other IAQ mechanisms such as Green Purchasing Programs, Integrated Pest Management Plans, abating asbestos, and enforcing smoke-free environments. BXP also offers emergency response plans and safe spaces, which have earned our properties the majority of the Emergency Preparedness Strategies and Outdoor Lighting Strategies. Furthermore, BXP operates in well-connected, urban markets. Because of our high Walk Scores® and proximity to amenities such as gardens, walking trails, healthy food options, farmers markets, and outdoor fitness areas, our FitwelCertified properties frequently achieve all of the Location Strategies and Outdoor Spaces Strategies.
