We connected with Christine to hear about her experience as a Fitwel Ambassador and why she believes implementing people-centric strategies is a business imperative today.

How did you first hear of the Fitwel Ambassador opportunity?
CC: I became a Fitwel Ambassador while I was working at Goby as an ESG consultant because I wanted to expand our service offerings to include more Fitwel Certifications. I wanted to be well-versed in the program and to become a Fitwel expert for my clients.

How has becoming a Fitwel Ambassador impacted your life and/or career?
CC: As an Ambassador, I've been able to help drive change to a more sustainable future by advocating for the importance of healthy buildings and the wellness of people within them.

How does Fitwel align with both your values and those of C&W?
CC: Fitwel aligns with my values of promoting sustainable buildings that prioritize human health and wellness as well as with C&W's responsibility to guide clients with sustainable and efficient solutions for the properties they own and manage. C&W places a heavy emphasis on the most valuable asset - the people - who are the vessels to drive change and deliver results. Thus, it is essential to prioritize buildings that give people healthier places to live, work, and learn, in order to yield long-term positive results.

Do you believe that implementing people-centric strategies and prioritizing ESG is a business imperative?
CC: Yes, I believe that people-centric strategies are  critical for the success of any business. When companies prioritize people-centric strategies, they create a workplace that fosters employee satisfaction and engagement, resulting in increased productivity, higher employee retention rates, and, ultimately, higher profits. I believe that focusing on ESG through a people perspective is an opportunity for businesses to create a more sustainable and equitable future while also achieving greater market success.
